Plastic hearts and paper dolls
Is there an idol inside your walls?
Keep out all but the same
“look like us or go away!”
Plastic Hearts are on parade
You’re only playing charades
Dressing up in your paper skirts
Ignore a world that bleeds and hurts
Mantra, mantra, know the lines
Look at me; I’m dressed to the nines
look at you, and you don’t fit in
Blasphemer of the Armani sin!
Plastic Hearts are on parade
You’re only playing charades
Dressing up in your paper skirts
Ignore a world that bleeds and hurts
“God’s made in our image so you better comply
But you’re a pariah so don’t even try.”
Shiny plastic, say what you’ll say--
Prepare for fire ‘cause you’re made out of clay!
Plastic Hearts are on parade
You’re only playing charades
Dressing up in your paper skirts
Ignore a world that bleeds and hurts
Loveless hearts the world sees
But never bowed plastic bent knees
Judge them and then send them away
With your plasticness on display
Plastic Hearts are on parade
You’re only playing charades
Dressing up in your paper skirts
Ignore a world that bleeds and hurts
Plastic hearts and paper dolls
Is God allowed within your walls?
Plastic hearts and paper dolls
Is God allowed within your walls?

Little Jenny’s barely a teen
But thinks she needs to diet if she’s gonna fit in
Her magazine’s define beauty as thin
She’s a teen and gonna pay the price for her vanity
[Chorus]
She starves herself, cuts herself, but never feels good
Thinks that noone loves her—but that everyone should
Ask her life’s big questions: and she wonders about celebrities
thats the price of her vanity
She’s not grown up, but she’s seen everything
She’s not a kid, an adult it seems
Men will love her, like all pretty things
She’s not grown up, but pays a price for her vanity
Jenny only wants one thing
She’s always dreamed of her diamond ring
But her messed up life leaves no room for a king
She sacrificed him for her vanity
Mirror, mirror, on my wall
Who is the fairest of them all
Mirror, mirror in my vanity
I know that the prettiest one is me
Late at night, vain Jenny cries
In her bed, wishing she could hide
Little Jenny wants to die
Jenny forget suicide!
That’s the price of her vanity
she paid a price for her vanity
That’s the price of vanity

Breathe
04:16
|
|
||
I walked away from my love to my death
There’s a cold fire trapped inside my chest
The fault is all my own I walked away
I only know one thing I miss your breath
Breathe into me
Breathe into me
The dam breaks now here comes the flood
My feet mired six feet deep in the mud
I don’t want to die so I gasp for air
But my lover held me down to drown in your blood
Breathe into me
Breathe into me
Drowning in sorrow want to see tomorrow oh God
I need you to save me only you can make me whole
Breathe into me
Breathe into me

Loving the Cloudy Girl
05:32

Cloudy girl your sunny face hides masquerades of hate’s embrace
And every day is Halloween and apathy is your only dream
Drink bitterness from your anger basin a gall that cuts you like a knife
This stagnant water you drink it in no one sees how it consumes your life
Cloudy girl your sunny face hides masquerades of hate’s embrace
Ice & thorns upon your breath exhaled with exuberance
Bombs make bone and ash weapons of your hate
Your safety net becomes a web an accidental snare You asphyxiate
An acid maw eats from within desiccating mummifies you
A heart stings cloaked in fire what is she, what is she now
A happy little girl gone a vampire in her soul
One who is thirsty for blood and refuses to be loved
Cloudy girl, your tear-stained face closed doors hide all of your pain
Broken mirrors reveal your dreams mean gossip girls and suffering
Play with masks of Halloween vanity and blasphemy
But no one knows who you really are a scared child deep inside
Your family’s broke you tried to run but secrets hang in every cove
Conceal dysfunction like a gun and those who don’t know how to really love
But I love you I love you
You’re my cloudy girl and you’re sunny overneath
You’re a flower painted in amongst the weeds
And I love you I love you!

Losing Me
04:16
|
|
||
I Feel your eyes
I’m broke here on the floor
Arresting thoughts of mine
Do you approve anymore
Oh…
I’m losing me
That could be
Good
I know you’re there
Arms open wide
And I stand over here
Trying to hide
Oh…
I’m losing me
That could be
Good
I live far from you
With my friends but so lonely
Pretend it’s not true
But I know you I need
Oh…
I’m losing me
That could be
Good
